Ryan and Chelsea

Serving in West Africa

Ryan and Chelsea are missionary physicians living and working with their two children in West Africa. Their country of service is one of the poorest in the world and is 99% non-Christian. They utilize their medical training to provide healthcare, but their primary focus is sharing the gospel and making disciples. Chelsea is an obstetric fistula surgeon and women’s health specialist. Ryan leads a church-planting team of local leaders and is the Deputy Director of their hospital. Despite the tremendous physical and medical needs in their country, they follow the conviction that the greatest need around them is the gospel. Therefore, they prioritize proclaiming Christ and making disciples in everything they do. 

Prayer requests:

  1. For their family (Ava is 3, Lucas is 1) that the Lord will sustain them in a difficult desert environment amidst immense amounts of suffering
  2. That the Holy Spirit would continue to open the hearts and minds in their country to the gospel.
  3. That the Lord would continue to raise up more laborers for this field as the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are very, very few.
